Biobanking at the University Hospital of Padova: Your Contribution Matters
We invite all patients receiving care at the University Hospital of Padova to consider contributing to our Biobank. Your participation plays a crucial role in advancing medical research and improving future treatments.
To help you understand the process, we provide detailed information through leaflets and a dedicated section on our website. These resources explain why we are seeking your donation, what it involves, and how your samples and data will be used.
If you decide to participate, we will ask you to view the Information on the processing of personal data form complete a Consent form. This form allows you to specify how your tissue, blood, and data may be utilized in future research projects.
Our information materials and consent forms have been developed in collaboration with patients to ensure they are clear, relevant, and easy to understand. Additionally, they have been reviewed and approved by an independent research ethics committee to guarantee they meet the highest ethical standards.
Before deciding, you will have the opportunity to discuss any questions or concerns with our biobank team or your clinical care team. Your decision to participate is entirely voluntary, and your care will not be affected by your choice.
Together, we can make a meaningful difference in medical research and patient care.
